Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking an RN Clinical Supervisor for Labor and Delivery. This part-time night-shift role leads a team to deliver safe, high-quality maternal care and oversees daily operations.

The position requires California RN licensure, a BSN, BLS (ACLS preferred) and prior supervisory experience. A $10,000 signing bonus is available to external hires meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience required in an area of similar clinical expertise.
• Supervisor and/or nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Current California RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs patient care within one department/unit while on shift.
• Fosters an environment of patient and family centered care with cultural diversity.
• Models an interdisciplinary approach and collaborates with physician partners.
• Monitors personnel in performance of patient care activities to ensure safety and quality.
• Promotes advancement of the nursing profession.
• Makes rounds to assess patient care quality and collect feedback.
• Assesses staffing requirements and plans for next shift staffing.
• Investigates and resolves patient care and operational issues.
• Ensures shift compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews and adjusts schedules and manages staff resources.
