Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Independence is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RN) to lead care in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. This night shift role focuses on supervising CNAs and coordinating daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualified candidates hold a Missouri RN license with BLS/CPR, have 1–2 years in SNF/LTC or related fields, and demonstrate strong clinical judgment and communication.

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license in Missouri.
• BLS/CPR Certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively as part of a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Perform resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
• Assign resident care duties and coordinate daily workflow.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers.
• Complete accurate nursing documentation and maintain compliance with Missouri state regulations.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.
