Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse for the Central Pool (PRN, nights 7pm-7:30am) in Bel Air, MD. Minimum 72 hours per 6 weeks including four 12-hour weekend shifts. Provides and coordinates independent care within a multidisciplinary team and adheres to nursing mission and values.

You will develop practice, serve as a resource, and participate in unit-based education and safety initiatives while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible through compact.
• More than 12 months nursing experience; solid knowledge and skills.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Unit-specific certifications: BLS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to patients as part of the care team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Advocate for patient/family needs and ensure safe, timely, patient-centered care.
• Act as a clinical resource and model practice on the unit.
• Participate in development, orientation and education activities.
• Contribute to unit outcomes, quality measures and safety initiatives.
• Support recruitment, governance and staff feedback processes.
