Job summary

Baltimore Washington Medical Center is seeking a qualified Night Shift Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing standards and patient care on a 12-hour night shift. The RN will have primary responsibility for unit operations and immediate issue resolution during the shift.

The candidate will bring substantial nursing leadership experience, current Maryland RN licensure, and a BSN (preferred), with at least five years of progressive hospital nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or substantially equivalent.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current registration with the MD State Board of Nursing.
• Five (5) years of progressive experience in hospital nursing and proven administrative/leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards established at the unit and divisional level while on shift.
• Provide nursing administrative coverage in the absence of managers and directors of nursing.
• Possess line authority for nursing associates during the shift for urgent issues.
