Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a night-shift nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and oversee day-to-day nursing activities for nursing assistants. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards and facility policies, and maintaining a high level of quality care for residents.

The position requires an active RN or LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin, CPR certification, strong leadership, and the ability to work nights from 7pm to 7am.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• CPR certificate current or obtain within two weeks.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and elderly care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, families, staff, and outside agencies.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nursing staff and maintain care plans.
• Ensure policies are followed and dress code adhered to.
• Develop written care plans identifying patient needs.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Make daily rounds and ensure nursing duties are performed.
• Chart nursing notes reflecting care and patient response.
• Coordinate medications and treatments as ordered.
• Participate in staff training and continuing education.
