Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for an onsite virtual, full-time night shift position in Iowa. The role involves collaboration within the Nursing Care Team to manage patient care via a digital platform from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the care plan while maintaining thorough documentation and contributing as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant, and navigator.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of equivalent experience in adult acute care with direct patient care in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Coordinate and support the plan of care using clinical knowledge and case management principles.
• Ensure seamless transitions of care across the continuum.
• Monitor quality metrics and documentation in the patient record.
• Serve as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.
