Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the on-site, full-time night shift. The RN will collaborate with the Nursing Care Team to manage patient care via digital platforms, from admission through discharge.

The role emphasizes clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and case management to ensure quality outcomes and seamless transitions across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum five years of equivalent experience in adult acute care with direct patient care in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Utilize clinical knowledge and case management principles to coordinate and support the plan of care.
• Ensure a seamless, effective transition of care across the continuum.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Serve as mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.
