Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is hiring a registered nurse for night shifts in a part-time capacity. The RN will treat patients, educate families, and support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include documenting histories, operating equipment, administering medications, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certificate on hire and maintain.
• Knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes in behavioral health units.
• Knowledge of continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and educate them about mental and medical conditions.
• Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms and assist in diagnostics.
• Operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications.
• Support patient follow-up and rehabilitation efforts.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and wellness.
