Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, a 226-bed acute care facility in Northern California, seeks an Clinical Supervisor to support administrative duties and patient care with a focus on quality and compliance. Night shift opportunity with a strong emphasis on staff development and operational excellence.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, plus BSN preferred and RN-C within 2 years. PALS within 30 days may be needed for pediatric units.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon hire and maintain current for ER, ICU and Telemetry.
• BSN preferred; RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
• PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and works with unit Director/Manager.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel and communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Ensures quality of staff and functions during shift; assists Director in daily operations of the unit.
• Direct patient care when needed within scope of practice and directs staff to adjust care plans as needed.
