Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting at Shasta County Jail in Redding, CA. This full-time, night-shift position offers competitive pay and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven healthcare team.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, care planning, EMR documentation, and collaboration with physicians and mental health staff to deliver safe, compliant care.

Qualifications

• A current, valid state nursing license for applicable role (RN).
• An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Document assessments, treatments, and progress in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Education
