Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse to join our Nights team in Reno, NV. You will administer treatments and medications, educate patients and families, and participate in psychiatric crisis intervention and recovery activities.

The role requires an active Nevada RN license, BLS, and knowledge of mental health laws within either inpatient or outpatient behavioral health settings. Join a dedicated hospital focused on quality, compassion, and community.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Nevada.
• BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Registered nurses perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients’ and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients.
