Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Night shift at The Refuge, a Healing Place, on a 96-acre Ocala National Forest campus in Florida. The role involves assessing needs, planning and administering care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing per state requirements.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance use nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Provide nursing care within state Nurse Practice Act regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible when transcribed and documented as required.
• Monitor patient status and communicate significant changes to the team.
• Complete admission and discharge nursing documentation accurately.
• Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic rapport with patients.
• Coordinate unit activities and communicate with patients, visitors, and staff.
