Job summary

New Directions Northwest in Baker City, Oregon, seeks a Registered Nurse (Night Shift) to provide direct nursing care and medical oversight for clients in withdrawal management and crises stabilization. Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
• Two years of experience in behavioral health, detoxification, or medical-surgical settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ASAM Criteria and detox protocols.
• Ability to document nursing assessments, vital signs, and withdrawal scales accurately.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must pass background check under Oregon regulations (OAR 407-007-0200 to 407-007-0370).

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely nursing assessments and admissions upon client arrival.
• Assess withdrawal severity and determine appropriate level of care using ASAM Criteria.
• Document nursing assessments, vital signs, and withdrawal scales.
• Obtain and verify medication history and relevant medical information.
• Monitor client condition and response to medications during shifts.
• Respond to signs of medical distress or psychiatric crisis per emergency protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe, therapeutic environment per rules.
