Job summary

Rushford Center (The Ridge Recovery Center) in Windham, CT, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an RN to deliver direct nursing care for individuals with substance use disorders. You will assess conditions, administer medications, monitor withdrawals and educate clients on health and recovery in a new, state-of-the-art facility.

The ideal candidate holds a CT RN license, an Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• CPR & AED certified within six months.
• Addictions or Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing credentialing preferred.
• At least one year of nursing experience in psychiatric or substance abuse treatment.
• Experience as CNA or mental health worker desirable for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Assess client conditions and document findings.
• Administer medications per protocol and monitor effects.
• Manage withdrawal symptoms and ensure patient safety.
• Provide direct nursing care and health education to clients.
