Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Northern Virginia is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Acute Care Telemetry/Neuro Unit. This full-time position runs 3-12 hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with weekend and holiday rotations and a sign-on bonus plus relocation assistance for eligible nurses. The unit is a 32-bed telemetry floor specializing in cardiac, neuro, and heart failure care, including stroke patient admissions.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN required; if AD, plan to complete BSN within 5 years.
• 1 year of RN experience in critical care or CCU setting or CCU fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments interpreting data sets.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessments.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care and coordinate transitions.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and act as a resource to resolve issues.
• Document all patient care activities per standards and support team.
• Support clinical decision making and involve the care team.
