MU Health Care is seeking an RN to join the Acute Surgical Care Unit on a nights with every other weekend rotation. This on-site role offers a base hourly pay range and shift differentials, with responsibilities spanning assessment, pain management, medication education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure top-tier patient care.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license or valid multi-state compact RN.
• 1 year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and nursing needs; set goals and discharge plans.
• Assess and reassess pain using a 0-10 scale, FLACC, or FACES; document findings.
• Educate patients and families about medications and side effects.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
• Maintain nursing standards and hospital policies for the unit.
• Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality-improvement groups.
• Record observations accurately and concisely; communicate with the care team.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure patient satisfaction.
