Job summary

Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Rehab Unit on nights. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and every other weekend.

You will assess patients, coordinate care, teach families, and contribute to quality improvement while staying current with nursing standards. Illinois RN licensure and CPR are required, with an Associate's degree or BSN.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN in nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and health care staff in person, by phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing standards, laws and regulations.
