Job summary

Kindred Hospital Paramount and Acute Rehabilitation Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will develop care plans, collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff, and communicate changes in clinical status to physicians and supervisors.

You will participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary nursing education and licensure required.
• RN with state licensure and BLS required on hire.
• ACLS preferred; 6 months medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and update nursing care plans with patient, family and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and supervisors.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transitions.
• Administer medications following the five rights and supervise care.
