Job summary

Cornerstone Specialty Hospitals Round Rock DPU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our LTAC facility with a 12-bed acute rehabilitation unit and telemetry capabilities. The role involves planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process, in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma and current RN licensure, with BCLS and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication; interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medications and their administration based on patient age and condition.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and work under stress.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship within and across departments.
• Must have good and regular attendance; fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nursing care standards and implement hospital policies.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to patients.
• Assign nursing care team members based on patient needs and team capabilities.
• Document admissions, care plans, and reassessments in the medical record.
