Job summary

You will administer medications per orders, educate patients and families, document care accurately, and participate in performance improvement. Licensure as RN and BLS required; Associate degree required, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS CPR required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate and revise them.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Coordinate care with medical staff and departments to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care as appropriate to team members.
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively.
