Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift in a PRN schedule. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with the interprofessional team. The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, current RN license, and at least 2 years of acute hospital experience.

BLS is required; TNCC preferred. You will educate patients and families while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• RN licensure and CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking skills appropriate to patient’s level of care.
• Collects and documents patient health data systematically and timely.
• Conducts ongoing assessments and develops individualized, evidence-based care plans.
• Implements interventions from the plan of care safely and timely.
• Collaborates for timely patient placement and transfer per policy.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives and promotes evidence-based practice.
• Acts as patient advocate and ensures rights and needs are addressed.
