Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO seeks a registered nurse for night shift to deliver high-quality patient care within a collaborative team. You will assess patient needs, implement plans, administer medications, and educate families, while maintaining precise documentation.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensure safety, and participate in ongoing professional development. A strong nursing license and BLS/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• English fluency in reading, speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient health factors including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle aspects.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly review and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care; ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and interventions in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance; uphold regulatory standards.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing care to team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
