Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the 6A Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit in Newark, DE. This full-time night-shift role (7p–7a) includes a 20% shift differential and a $20K sign-on bonus for external candidates, reflecting the unit’s high demand and commitment to quality patient care.

The ACE unit cares for five medical patients per shift and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

DE RN license or compact license required.
One year of inpatient hospital experience.
BLS certification required.
BSN preferred; ADN must obtain BSN within three years.
Gerontology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care on the ACE unit for elderly patients.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver care.
Manage five patients per shift and monitor condition changes.
Support night shift operations and ensure patient safety.
