Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a long term care Registered Nurse (RN) for night shift coverage. You will apply the nursing process to provide individualized resident care, coordinating with families and inter-disciplinary teams.

The role includes potential charge nurse duties and delegation within a licensed team. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a nursing degree preferred, and an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state where practice occurs (multistate license if in NLC state).
• Obtains and maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilizes age/population-appropriate standards.
• Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Coordinate care, conduct resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate.
• Provide assistance to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolve care concerns.
• Follow Nurse Practice Act and state licensure rules.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nursing
