Job summary

LEGOLAND Florida is seeking a Rides Engineering Technician for a night shift, performing safety-critical inspections and planned preventive maintenance across rides and attractions. The role supports maintenance supervision, diagnoses complex electromechanical systems, and drives corrective actions to minimize downtime.

The position emphasizes nightly hours (5:00 PM–5:30 AM) and requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays to support park operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least four years of experience installing, maintaining, and servicing electromechanical equipment.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used to troubleshoot and maintain ride systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and interpret maintenance reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the highest priority in all work activities.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed to minimize ride and facility downtime.
• Complete maintenance repairs thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Maintain ride equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Inspect rides and attractions to identify and prevent safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
• Operate basic machine shop equipment (drill presses, power saws, grinders).
• Identify equipment needing repair or adjustment and take corrective action.
• Provide professional, guest-focused service at all times.
• Mentor and train team members to support skill development.
