Job summary

You will supervise staff, ensure competency, manage equipment and inventory, participate in hiring decisions, and maintain compliance with policies. On-call duties and timely communication with management are also included.

Qualifications

• Must hold North Carolina licensure for respiratory care and CEUs.
• NBRC RRT/CRT certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• At least 3 years in clinical respiratory therapy with ICU experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure staff competency and safety; appraise performance.
• Develop performance plans and goals; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate equipment evaluation and department projects; monitor inventory.
• Monitor adherence to policies, infection control, and practice guidelines.
• Assist with hiring decisions and on-call scheduling.
• Provide timely communication to management.
