Job summary

WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate and care for respiratory therapy patients and provide prescribed respiratory services. The role requires licensed therapists across states and certification in ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and WV Point of Care Technician.

Two years of experience preferred; the candidate will work night shifts in Bluefield, WV, with responsibilities spanning neonatal to geriatric care and active participation in quality assurance

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory therapist by the applicable state where services will be performed.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE required; Point of Care Technician certification through WV Department of Health & Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced respiratory therapies for neonatal to geriatric patients as ordered by the physician.
• Troubleshoot and perform quality control on respiratory care equipment.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation for pediatric and adult patients as directed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assist with patient and family education and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain clinical competency and demonstrate department-specific competencies.
