GMH Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate and provide prescribed respiratory care. The role involves neonatal to geriatric patient procedures, vent management, and equipment QC.

The position requires West Virginia licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, BLS and additional certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP/STABLE. Monday through Friday with an evening shift, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory therapist by the applicable state where services will be performed.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, Point of Care Technician through WV DHHR.

Responsabilités

• Performs basic and advanced therapeutic procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by order of the physician.
• Assembles, checks, and corrects malfunctions and performs quality controls on Respiratory Care equipment.
• Initiates, maintains, and discontinues mechanical ventilation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Communicates appropriately with the healthcare team regarding patient care.
• Provides patient and family education with the team.
