Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. The role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, operating ventilators, and assisting in procedures during 7pm–7am night shifts. 36 hours per week with a 0.9 FTE within a supportive team.

You will assess patients, administer therapies, educate patients, and collaborate with other departments while upholding safety and quality standards for all ages.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with an associate degree.
• No experience required.
• RCP license plus NBRC credentials within required timeframe; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates comprehensive respiratory care per standards.
• Operates ventilators and assists physicians with procedures.
• Delivers medications and therapies per orders.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment; documents patient care.
• Educates patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
