Job summary

The RRT delivers critical and non-critical cardiopulmonary care across age groups, coordinates shift assignments, and collaborates with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes in a busy academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT credential NBRC within one year of hire.
• Current State of Ohio License.
• Current BLS with ACLS/PALS/NALS for respective work area.
• 1 year of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in population appropriate communication and education of patients/families.
• Performs treatments and operates equipment safely; responds to patient needs.
• Records information in the patient record and conducts SBAR handoffs.
• Collaborates with physicians to discuss cardiopulmonary status and plans care.
• Supports precepting and education of students and new staff.
