Job summary

Horizon Health in Paris, IL seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for PRN night shifts. You will deliver respiratory care as prescribed, work with a multidisciplinary team, and support patient education and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT preferred or CRT certification by NBRC.
• Current Illinois license for Respiratory Therapy required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• 3–6 months RRT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory and pulmonary treatments, PFTs, EKGs, ABGs per policy.
• Documents data accurately in eMAR.
• Maintains regulatory standards (IDPH, TJC, OSHA).
• Inspects and troubleshoots respiratory equipment as required.
• Provides patient education on home respiratory care and rehab.
• Communicates with interdisciplinary services about patient needs.
• Maintains competencies and infection control practices.
• Willing to cross-train to other areas as needed.
