American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience for a night shift position in Indiana.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, current RRT certification, state RCP license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP credentials. 36 hours per week with 5:30 PM–6:00 AM shifts, weekend rotation, and active involvement in care planning and education.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RRT certification required.
• State RCP license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• IN state license required if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of total respiratory care experience.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience.
• Experience performing pulmonary function tests.
• Strong critical thinking and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital respiratory therapy department.
• Night shift hours, 5:30 PM–6:00 AM.
• Weekend rotation per unit schedule.
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.
• Initiate respiratory protocols and evaluate all modalities of therapy.
• Serve as a member of the patient care team to assess, develop care plans, and assist with discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family education on medications and therapy modalities.
• Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, airway management, ventilator management, and oximetry.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Tests following ATS criteria.
• Maintain neat and accurate documentation, including charge entry and supply monitoring.
• Serve as a clinical resource and preceptor for new respiratory care orientees.
• Participate in hospital and department councils and meetings.
