Job summary

Medical City McKinney is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for PRN night shifts. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and acute units, leveraging advanced respiratory technology and a collaborative team environment.

You will guide patients and families, support clinicians, and help stabilize newborns when needed, all while maintaining equipment and following infection-prevention standards.

Qualifications

• BCLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitate within 6 months of employment start date.
• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/RCP-State certification required.
• Associate Degree required.
• ACLS/PALS certifications within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance, and other therapies across care settings.
• Assist with artificial airway placement and manage invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment and ensure safety and infection-prevention standards.
