Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for per diem night shifts at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. The role involves providing respiratory care, conducting tests, and supporting critical care during 12-hour night shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an RCP license, NBRC RRT, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with a degree in respiratory care. Neonatal resuscitation is preferred and prior acute care experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• NBRC RRT certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification required at hire, maintained.
• ACLS certification required at hire, maintained.
• PALS certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Set up and monitor ventilators and life-support equipment.
• Assist in airway management including intubations during emergencies.
• Assess respiratory status and adjust treatments as needed.
• Ensure respiratory equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

PALS Certification (AHA)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (preferred)
