Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs ventilator checks and ensures proper function.
• Administers IPPB and aerosol treatments.
• Performs postural drainage and percussion per physician’s orders.
• Responds to Code Blue under physician direction.
• Suctioning as described in the RT procedure manual.
• Relays patient information to the oncoming shift.
• Administers oxygen therapy and checks equipment.
• Performs bedside spirometry for pre/post tests.
• Assists with training of respiratory and nursing students.
• Maintains and updates clinical documentation.
