Responsibilities

• Guided by the Code of Ethics; professional behavior and respectful interactions across the care team
• Identifies high-risk patients and initiates appropriate interventions
• Maintains patient confidentiality within legal and regulatory parameters
• Acts as patient/resident advocate and supports families in decision-making
• Delivers care using nursing process with assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Contributes to quality of care improvements and practice guidelines
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Mentors and supports staff; manages patient flow and staffing considerations
