Job summary

Newport Hospital & Health Services provides respiratory care in acute care, emergency, and outpatient settings. The role involves night shifts and 12-hour schedules, requiring strong clinical skills and teamwork.

An associate degree in Respiratory Care is required. CRT or RRT certification and WA licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days are preferred; prior critical care experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an Accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• CRT or RRT preferred; WA license and BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days.
• Critical care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care such as artificial respiration and CPR assistance.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and consult with physicians on adverse reactions.
• Obtain ABGs, EKGs and other testing as appropriate.
• Set up and operate ventilators and related devices per treatment parameters.
• Work with a clinical team to manage patient care and support procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate medical records.
