Job summary

The position requires Associates or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC/ABG/BCLS certification as applicable, and current Tennessee licensure.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensure as required (NBRC/ABG/BCLS).
• Experience in respiratory care and patient assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergencies, performs CPR and airway management.
• Monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and reports changes to physicians.
• Administers gas therapies and performs routine/selected procedures.
• Performs PFTs, arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, EKGs and Holter monitoring.
• Assists with patient transports and discharge planning as needed.
• Documents treatments and maintains departmental records.
