Loyola Medicine, a national leader in healthcare, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for part-time night shifts. The role involves delivering daytime respiratory care including bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, and ER patient support within Loyola University Medical Center's system.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in respiratory care (bachelor's preferred), IL licensure, CPR/BLS, and NBRC CRT certification. The position offers competitive shift differentials and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care; bachelor's preferred
• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association
• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC
• CRT credential and IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day Respiratory Care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow up, and care of Emergency Room patients.
• Sets up and performs complex respiratory care procedures such as continuous artificial ventilation and administration of medications.
• Records patient data to include ventilatory volumes, pressure/flows, and blood gas analysis.
