Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide daytime and night respiratory care within our regional healthcare system. The role includes initiating oxygen, performing bronchial hygiene, and managing ER patient needs in Respiratory Services.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Respiratory Care (BS preferred), valid IL licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. CRT credential required within 6 months of hire; competitive shift pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care; bachelor’s preferred.
• CPR/BLS – American Heart Association required.
• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC; required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day respiratory care, including bronchial hygiene, oxygen initiation and follow-up, and ER patient care.
• Sets up and performs complex respiratory care procedures such as ventilation and medication administration; records ventilatory data and blood gas results.
