Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for PRN Night shifts. The role covers all ages in critical care, ER, med/surg, and nursery, with duties including intubations and education as part of a high-functioning team.

Responsibilities include autonomous protocol-based patient care, staff education, and adherence to hospital policies. Required credentials include NBRC registration and Florida licensure; BLS/ACLS are required, with PALS/NRP to be obtained within 90

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care program.
• Registered by NBRC and licensed by the State of Florida as Respiratory Therapist in good standing.
• May also be a Certified Respiratory Therapist, credentialed by NBRC and licensed by the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Maintains strong autonomy with use of protocols and is a valued member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Acts as a resource for staff and students.
• Provides respiratory care in accordance with LWRMC policies and procedures.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
• Other duties as assigned.
