Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Licensure in the state of practice required (Delaware, Maryland, etc.).
• Maintains active certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT credential.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents a basic clinical assessment of patients on admission and throughout hospital stay.
• Assesses patient/family learning needs and carries out teaching measures as indicated.
• Initiates and follows a basic plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Communicates with and works on behalf of patients/families in a dignified, respectful manner to ensure effective implementation of the plan of care.
• Administers all respiratory modalities and medications in a safe and effective manner.
• Provides therapy to patients and documents care delivery in the medical record.
