Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Licensure in the state of practice required (Delaware, Maryland, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic clinical assessment of patients on admission and during stay.
• Assesses learning needs and conducts teaching as indicated.
• Initiates and follows a basic plan of care based on assessment/diagnosis.
• Communicates with patients/families to ensure plan of care is understood.
• Administers respiratory modalities and medications safely and effectively.
• Documents care delivery in the medical record.
• Demonstrates empathy and respect with patients, families, and staff.
• Keeps informed about policy/equipment changes and seeks learning opportunities.
