Job summary

305 West End Assisted Living in West Babylon, NY is seeking a compassionate Resident Services Aide for the Friday and Saturday 11pm-7am shift. This on-site role supports residents with daily living activities and companionship, ensuring safety and comfort during night hours.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA/PCA/HHA certification, with English proficiency and experience with elderly residents. Training emphasizes gentle, respectful care and adherence to wellness policies.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide
• Experience with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus
• Must be able to speak and read English
• Experience with geriatric population and ADLs assistance
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines
• Understanding of dementia; patient and professional in redirecting residents
• Reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanor
• Respect for the elderly and ability to stay calm

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Supporting residents to achieve their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being
• Help in Wellness area to ensure safety, comfort and wellbeing of residents
• Follow policies and procedures and directions from the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness
