Job summary

Vivie is seeking a Part Time Resident Assistant to join our Nursing department in Minnesota. The role is 16 hours per pay period, night shift 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with every other weekend and holidays.

You will assist residents with daily activities, meals, and wellness, support social and recreational activities, maintain a clean environment, monitor health, and report changes to nursing staff. CNA certification preferred; state background check required.

Qualifications

• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.
• Ability to pass a state-required background study.
• Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills, respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
