Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care under physician orders, including ventilator support and life support equipment management in ICUs and designated areas.

Qualified candidates hold an Accredited Respiratory Care program degree, state licensure, and NBRC RRT certification, with BLS/NRP/PALS; neonatal/pediatric ICU experience preferred. Mercy offers strong benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Must have a current license in the state of practice.
• RRT, BLS, NRP and PALS certifications.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physicians' orders or protocol.
• Determines effectiveness of therapy.
• Provides ventilator support during CPR and maintains life support equipment in ICUs and other designated areas.
