Wood County Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts. The role involves high-quality, evidence-based respiratory care for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions, collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes.

The position requires an Associate degree in respiratory therapy, NBRC RRT credential, and Ohio licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications due within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy from a CoARC approved program.
• RRT credentialed through the NBRC.
• Ohio licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• BLS within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 90 days; PALS within 90 days; NRP within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough respiratory assessments and collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans.
• Deliver respiratory treatments, monitor responses, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., blood gas) and provide emergency interventions when required.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and respiratory care practices.
• Coordinate scheduling, equipment, insurance, and communications for hospitalization and discharge.
