Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Tower 4B General Surgical Progressive Care Team. This is a full-time night shift (7p–7a).

The RN will provide care for medical and surgical patients, educate families, coordinate with physicians, advocate for patients, and participate in unit activities. Required: 1 year of clinical nursing experience; BLS; RN license; ADN or BSN.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) or BSN noted.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with medical, surgical, or other conditions including chronic illnesses or minor injuries.
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
• Interact with physicians and other hospital departments.
• Serve as patient advocate.
• Participate in staff meetings and unit activities.
