Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MG1 Step Down Unit. The role covers a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7:30am) including weekends, in a tele-monitored unit with a 3:1–4:1 patient ratio and private rooms across ~26 beds.

You will assess, document, and manage patient care, coordinate with the interprofessional team, ensure infection control, and support pain management within a patient-centered framework.

Qualifications

• ASN required, BSN preferred from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License is required.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of bedside experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses learning needs and barriers and incorporates patient education into daily care.
• Documents admission assessment, reassessment, plan, interventions and medication use.
• Uses the information management system to communicate and document patient changes.
• Prioritizes work assignments based on changing situations.
• Communicates transfer of patient responsibility during rounds.
• Identifies patient needs and references abuse recognition and referral.
• Includes pain management and supportive care in the care plan.
• Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
