Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah seeks a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift in the Short Stay Unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on evidence-based practice and coordination with the health care team.

Responsibilities include independent assessment, care planning, delegation, and ongoing documentation, while maintaining professional standards and patient-family communication throughout the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice; compact transfers within 60 days.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire date.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status using physical, psychosocial and developmental considerations.
• Plan and educate with patients and families to prepare for ongoing care needs.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team; delegate and supervise as appropriate.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust the care plan; document accurately and timely.
• Uphold professionalism, ethics, and regulatory standards in practice.
